What are Rat Flaps?
In our experience not many people know about Rat Flaps. It’s very important you are aware of them when you have a rat infestation. You can then contact a qualified plumber to install a Rat Flap for you. These devices are essential to get your rat infestation under control or to prevent rats entering your property.
Usually rats will be accessing your house through the drains as they live in the sewers. Rat Flaps are essential devices if this is the case. If the rats are coming from elsewhere you will need another solution or help from a qualified pest controller.
You can also use Rat Flaps to prevent rats entering your property. Many people want them fitted as a preventative measure for peace of mind, then they don’t have to worry about rats gaining access to their house.
A Rat Flap is a non-return valve, so when it’s installed rats can’t get out of the sewers into your drainage system. Rats can leave your house but they won’t be able to come back. Please note that if your drains are damaged they must be repaired before a fat flap is installed.
